Will eating organic become cheaper than non-organic? Julia Havey certainly thinks so, and when you factor in rising oil prices it all certainly makes sense:

Bottom line: Most American diets need improving, and this is true around the world. An increase of fruits and vegetables is a good start - organic or non-organic. If and when prices do come down for organic foods, certainly it will be the right choice, and this effect may also be what saves the Earth's soil from becoming completely depleted of the nutrients needed to grow healthy foods...which translates into healthier people.
