The Muskogee Phoenix talks about the benefits of internal cleansing:
Internal cleansing is purported to remove toxins from the kidney, liver and colon. The unwanted substances are said to be the result of poor diet.
Shawna Starnes, 42, Gore, said internal cleansing was recommended to her by the staff at a Muskogee health food store.
“Three and a half years ago I was feeling bad at the time,” she said. “I had a lot of tiredness and things were just not working. I spoke to the ladies at Health Biz and they recommended the internal cleansing. I went on the Internet looking for more information about that. I didn’t want to keep taking antibiotics.”
Starnes said she follows a daily procedure designed to keep digestive system as clean as the external parts of her body.
“I take herbs up to four times a day, a fiber mix with some organic juice, and in the evening I take herbal tea,” she said. “People don’t realize how important it is to keep the colon clean. Food causes this buildup. All the additives, the dyes and sugars; our body wasn’t made to flush all that out.”
Starnes said she has not been sick or had a cold since her first colon cleanse.
